Project Manager
The Project Manager drives and leads several projects varying in size and complexity. These projects include customer facing websites as well as Operation Support Systems that manage e-Commerce transactions and work-flow.
This individual will be able to successfully partner with team members from within Synchronoss across multiple functions (Service Delivery, R&D, Operations). They will also work closey with client teams to ensure our projects are released on time, on budget while meeting requirements for performance, quality and functionality.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in technology field or equivalent
- PMP Certification preferred
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Proven experience in successfully managing cross functional teams, developing complex software projects
- Have thorough understanding of the software development cycle
- Must be adept in defining and implementing effective processes in project execution
- Excellent communication and consensus building skills
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects of medium to large scale.
- Apply proven project management planning techniques, including specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks and contingency plans to projects.
- Develop project time lines and schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Manage issues and risks related to the individual projects.
- Coordinates and prepares status reports, schedules and projects plans as required and keeps teams/senior management informed of project status and outstanding issues.
- Ability to prepare and maintain project documentation including: the creation and maintenance of project plans, manage change requests, resource requests and key project milestones.
- Facilitate and oversee the verification of scope documents, business, technical, and testing & release requirements documentation.
- Provide leadership, direction and integrate activities with departments to ensure successful implementation and support.
- Anticipate and identify issues that may impact deliverables, develop and implement corrective actions.
- Provide purpose, direction and motivation to teams, clarifies and communicates project objectives and success criteria.
- Ensure key project roles and responsibilities are defined.
- Ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the teams.
- Manage peer-level relationships (expectations, communications, negotiations, escalations, feedback, etc.)
- Experienced multiple full project life-cycles from business development to final delivery.
- Solid project management skills, self starter, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience and expertise; and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of software development, testing, change and project management methodologies, concepts, practices, procedures and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve conflicts across work groups.
- Experienced managing multiple projects simultaneously.
