Business/Reporting Analyst

The Business Analyst is a key member to the Service Delivery team.  This perseon is responsible for the production of business, functional and technical requirement documentation to delivery and product teams.  He/she works as a member of the account team to understand, quantify and present the impact of Synchronoss product solutions to the client. 


The incumbent will work across a number of teams to execute different work streams with respect to a project.  The BA assists in the odering and implementation or services at sites and find resolutions to satisfaction issues.  In addition, the BA will assist Program Managers and Directors in the preparation of high level assessment and proposal documentation.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree required in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of four years experience in a solution development environment
  • Demonstrated record of success in requirements capturing and analysis
  • Understanding of key business processes including:  Order entry, provisioning, fulfillment and billing
  • Industry experience in one or more communication services
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and apply them ot the business environment
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, instructions and information
  • The incumbent must be able to capture technical requirements as dictated by the client and communicate these requirements effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to speak effectively to groups
  • Must have strong problem solving skills
  • Must be able to work unsupervised
  • Strong decision making skills concerning policies, procedures, objectives and philosophies of the company
  • Required 75% travel

Responsibilities 

  • Collect and analyze information to determine the level of spending and the savings provided by the Synchronoss product solutions
  • With minimal supervision coordinate vendor enhancements, test and prepare technical documentation for system implementation and on-going support
  • Provide assistance in training technical support staff on cross-functional system impacts
  • Perform necessary analysis, fact-finding, and consultation with others to identify and resolve production support issues
  • Identifies program design and implementation issues, functional problems, and project or process related challenges
  • Demonstrate competency in all of the following: analysis, design, testing and implementation
  • Identify and solve problems independently and provide consultation and assistance to other members of the Project Implementation and Product Management teams
  • Effectively test system enhancements from documented requirements
