Software Engineer III

Research, design, test, implement, and maintain software systems to meet client or employer needs; use a variety of computer programming languages and applications, working in teams with other IT professionals, or alone; expected to work with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and other project stakeholders to implement application software based on varying levels of written requirements and verbal input.
Implementation includes design, coding, unit testing, delivery, and source code management. Expected to demonstrate value to the organization by mentoring other team members, taking ownership and responsibility not only for personal deliverables, but also for the entire application and its use, and to find a balance between achieving software excellence and delivering working code.
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus five years of experience. In the alternative employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Requires expertise in Java 1.5, 1.6 (Weblogic 9, Weblogic 10); Junit; Oracle PL/SQL (Oracle 10g RAC); Oracle SQL; XML; XSD; XSLT; Maven; Subversion (SVN); Bugzilla; IDE use such as IntelliJ or Eclipse; development on Linux and other Unix-variants; basic understanding of TCP/IP networks; Data Security Considerations; and Agile Software Development Methodologies. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
