With over 25 years of experience in the technology and communications industry, Mike has pioneered many new global markets resulting in the formation of several multi-billion dollar technology segments. In 2007, Mike was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.
Most recently Mike was President and Chief Executive Officer of FusionOne, Inc. since late 2007. Previously, Mike served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bridgeport Networks, a leader in Mobile-to-Voice over IP, (acquired in 2007: CCV: CN).
Prior to his position at BridgePort Networks, Mike was Senior Vice President at Phone.com (PHCM), the pioneer of the Mobile Internet. Phone.com was one of the fastest growing software companies in history reaching a $30 billion market capitalization at its peak. While at Phone.com, Mike led many acquisitions including the $9 billion acquisition of Software.com resulting in the formation of Openwave Systems (OPWV).
Mike has also served as President of Global Sales and Marketing for California Microwave (CMIC) where he reorganized the company and repositioned it into the wireless broadband market segment, re-launching the company as Adaptive Broadband (ADAP). This repositioning resulted in an increase in the market capitalization from $500 million to $4 billion. He also held positions as Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Motorola's Wireless Alliance Group (MOT) and at Tandem Computers (TDM) and Data General (DGN).
Mike holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, a Graduate Certificate in International Business from the University of Copenhagen, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Marquette University.
