Stephen G. Waldis

President & Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Waldis has over 20 years of experience in executive management for high technology and telecommunication companies in both operations and sales positions. Mr. Waldis began his career with AT&T, holding various technical, product management, and sales and marketing roles. Mr. Waldis joined Vertek Corporation as Partner and Chief Operating Officer in 1994. During his tenure at Vertek, the company grew significantly to be highly profitable and called several of the largest telecommunication and financial institutions as customers.
Since he founded Synchronoss in 2000, the company has grown from a young New Jersey start-up with consistent growth since its inception, into one of the most successful technology IPOs of 2007. The company grew to over $111M in sales in seven years, and calls fifteen of the top global service providers its customers. Synchronoss has garnered several awards for its technology platforms and innovation, and has been recognized for its business model by publications such as such as Software 500’s Top 10 Companies, Stratecast/Frost & Sullivan’s Top 10 Global Companies to Watch in 2009, Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50, Inc. Magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies and IPO Home’s top ranked Software IPO of 2007, among others.
Mr. Waldis’ success has not gone unnoticed, winning the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award an unprecedented three times for both NJ (Vertek) and PA (Synchronoss). A trademark equity efficient entrepreneur and manager, his first two companies grew and prospered with no outside capital. Synchronoss gained profitability with just one round of financing and has been cash flow positive since its inception. Mr. Waldis holds a degree in corporate communications from Seton Hall University.
